Treks are best booked in advance if possible. This will ensure the availability of your preferred trek but bookings can be made well in advance if you have a special day in mind. All llama treks should be paid for in full at the time of booking please to reserve your place. At busier periods, multiple bookings may be combined. Trek participants walk in pairs with two people to every llama with the exclusion of private treks for two people in which participants walk one to a llama. With groups containing an odd number of participants, one person will be alone with a llama. If there is a child alone with a llama (for example with a booking consisting of one adult and two children) the trek leader will use their discretion to decide if the child is okay to walk alone or whether they will walk along side.

On receipt of your payment and booking form we will confirm by email the details of the date and time. If there is a specific time of day you'd prefer your trek to take place, please mention this during booking and we will do our best to accommodate.

In the event of extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control should the trek be unavoidably cancelled, we will offer you a mutually convenient date to rearrange your booking to.

Please note we do not accept any liability for additional costs incurred through unavoidable cancellation. We will provide as much notice as possible should this occur and reserve the right to cancel the trek up to the departure time should this be absolutely necessary.

If you need to change your booking we require 7 working days notice please. Payment for your trek is non refundable once booked but you may postpone the date and re book within a 12 month period and will be supplied with a voucher to the value of your trek and a date of validity. Failure to give 7 days working notice will unfortunately lead to the loss of monies paid for your trek.

Your safety and that of others is paramount at all times. You must comply with our guidance and instruction during the trek and we reserve the right to request you to discontinue the trek if you put yourself, the llamas or others at risk.

Please ensure that you wear/bring appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor conditions (including sun cream / hats) and that you are physically fit to undertake the length and terrain of the trek you have booked. A description of the treks is available and if you are in any doubt consult your doctor before booking. Lakeland Llama Treks do not give advice or opinion on your fitness but can give guidance on the terrain you can expect. Please aim to arrive five minutes prior to the trek start time. If you are going to be late please give us a call as soon as possible. If other participants are waiting we may not be able to delay the start time.

Well behaved dogs on a lead at all times may be welcome but please contact us before booking to confirm. Excitable or noisy dogs are unsettling for the llamas and a nuisance to others and will not be allowed to accompany the trek. This is entirely at our discretion so if you are in any doubt, please contact us beforehand.

PLEASE NOT ALL CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PAYING ADULT

WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE ANY SPECTATORS SORRY.
