Here’s your chance to join one of our experienced keepers and help them with their daily animal care routine. You will get stuck in with feeding, cleaning out, handling and more with our range of animals on site.

Starting at approximately 9.15am, our keeper will meet you and discuss the day with you. You will be able to store any belongings safely inside before starting.
You will then be shown round site, seeing the various animals we have here, before starting with the daily routines including feeding, and any cleaning out required at the time.
Don’t worry, you’ll also have plenty of opportunity to stroke, hold and hand feed many of the animals. You’ll learn how to catch and brush our llamas and alpacas, groom our cheeky pygmy goats, give our tortoise a bath and much more. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to take photos, and our keeper will be happy to take photos of you with the animals if you wish.
Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for working outside, wellies may be required during winter months.
- £60 per person. (Ideally suited for one or two people but we can accommodate up to three people)
- Great for all ages.
- Sessions run from 9.15am and last approximately 3 hours including a refreshment break midway.
- Children under 14 require an adult present during the session. More than one adult will be an additional £10
- Spectators are an additional £10

Interactive Animal Encounter

All animal encounters are delivered in the grounds of a Victorian Manor House with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere.
Join the team for a fascinating and hands-on animal encounter, getting to meet and handle where appropriate, a range of friendly furry friends, Bengal Cats, giant rabbits, chickens and ducks, tortoise etc
Sessions also include meeting and feeding our cheeky pygmy goats, and a short walk with a couple of our llamas & alpacas.
Your experienced keeper is able to give you a very interesting insight into the lives and habitats of all our animals and there are great photo opportunities to be had! The experience lasts approximately one hour.
- £15 per person – Minimum 3 people.
- Subject to a minimum charge of £45 for the session if less than 3 people participating
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Please be aware all the activities generally start from 11am, but can run at other times throughout the day on request. As the activities and treks can be very busy it is essential to book in advance to ensure there are places available for you on the day please.
Gift vouchers are available for all activities so they can be used to book a date of the recipients choice in the future.

Hands-On Llama Fun & Facts
This fun and educational experience is perfect for all llama lovers and you will leave us knowing much more about our furry friends inevitably developing a great affinity for these gentle and kind creatures.
You will learn all about the Camelid family and have a unique opportunity to meet our llamas and also our cute and furry alpacas. The sessions lasting approximately an hour and provide an interactive, hands on experience where you are given an extremely interesting and informative talk about the life of a llama, a little bit of history and how llamas are used in their native Peru and South America and most of all a fascinating insight into their psyche and personalities.
Learn all about the hierarchy within the herds and how they communicate with each other, having llama babies, training and learning to trek and importantly along the way dispel a lot of the urban myths and fiction that people often think is true about how a llama behaves!
You will be shown the correct way to catch a llama, how to headcollar and lead a llama and then get really hands on by grooming our llamas.
Finally to round off this delightful experience you will take the llamas for a short walk allowing you to discover just how calming these amazing animals can be.
