Supporting Charities & Children’s Groups

with No Comments

Lakeland Llama Treks supports local charities and not for profit groups with Nature's Helping Hands. We are now offering free on site short sessions of animal assisted activities to small groups who are struggling with disabilities, disadvantage or mental health and social anxiety.

We believe animals can really help children and offer a different form of therapy, support, fun and joy. We have a range of animals on site, many of which can be held, stroked, fed and even walked.

Nature's Helping Hands is Philanthropic enterprise run in memory of Mary Walker, the co-founder of Lakeland Llama Treks. Mary passed away in July 2023 and she wanted her legacy to be offering this support for charities, local groups and even struggling families to experience the love and joy animals can provide.

The sessions usually run for an hour during the week. We offer the sessions for free but do appreciate donations if possible to support the running costs associated with the animals' care.

We can tailor sessions to suit individual needs and wishes. Sessions can focus on a particular theme such as animal care, or a particular group of animals such as the llamas & alpacas. We can discuss this when booking.

Please visit our website www.natureshelpinghands.co.uk for further information about these sessions.
