Treks need to be booked in
advance, preferably with two
weeks notice if possible. This
will ensure the availability of
your preferred trek but bookings
can be made well in advance if
you have a special day in mind.
A deposit of 25% of the cost of
the trek per person is required
at the time of booking and
places will be reserved for a
maximum of 5 days awaiting
receipt of the booking fee. On
booking a llama trek we will
confirm in writing to you the
details of the date, time,
duration and venue. In the event
of extreme weather or
circumstances beyond our control
should the trek be unavoidably
cancelled, we will offer you a
mutually convenient date at the
same price as the original
booking.
Please note we do not accept any
liability for additional costs
incurred through unavoidable
cancellation. We will provide as
much notice as possible should
this occur and reserve the right
to cancel the trek up to the
departure time should this be
necessary.
If you need to cancel your
booking with us we require 7
working days notice which can
either prompt a refund, less
administration charges, or
alternatively you may postpone
the date and re book within a
six month period at the same
price, failure to give 7 days
notice will unfortunately lead
to the loss of all monies paid
for the trek unless the trek can
be re filled at short notice. If
it can be re filled, only an
administration charge of 25% of
the total cost will be charged.
Your safety and that of others
is paramount at all times. You
must comply with our guidance
and instruction during the trek
and we reserve the right to
request you to discontinue the
trek if you put yourself, the
llamas or others at risk.
Please ensure that you
wear/bring appropriate clothing
and footwear for outdoor
conditions (including sun cream
/ hats ) and that you are
physically fit to undertake the
length and terrain of the trek
you have booked. A description
of the treks is available and if
you are in any doubt consult
your doctor before booking.
Lakeland llama treks do not give
advice or opinion on your
fitness but can give guidance on
the terrain you can expect.
Well behaved dogs on a lead at
all times are welcome but
excitable or noisy dogs are
unsettling for the llamas and a
nuisance to others and will not
be allowed to accompany the
trek. This is entirely at our
discretion so if you are in any
doubt, please contact us
beforehand.
