Welcome To Gypsophila At Ravenstone Manor - Glamorous Glamping with a difference!
We would love to invite you on a magical once in a life time experience in our secluded walled garden orchard alongside an ancient woodland teeming with wildlife.
The site is situated in the grounds of an 18th Century Country Manor House on the edge of a pretty village green ( with traditional village pub!) but just a 15 minute drive to the centre of Penrith on the edge of the lake District National Park.
There is private parking, peace and tranquillity and of course our lovely Llamas!
For animal lovers it is a great place to visit as we have Horses, Shetland ponies, Donkeys, Bengal Tiger Cats, Ducks, Peacocks and Chickens and wild rabbits in abundance.
Our authentic Gypsy caravans have been renovated to high standard and are themed to reflect a different experience in each featuring:
Each caravan has tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge supplied with fresh milk and an outdoor log campfire. Inside there is electric lighting, sockets for charging phones etc, a mini fridge, traditional style electric log stove and clothes and hand luggage storage.
All bedding, quilts and hand towels are provided and alongside the caravans our wildlife log hut provides a quirky and hygienic take on a loo and hot hand wash area!
Gypsophila site is in a very convenient location and by taking a stroll 3 minutes down the drive to the village centre you will find an award winning bakery and restaurant or choose to visit our quaint tea room and village shop that opens from 7am for newspapers and 8am for breakfast.
Alternatively, for those participating in a llama trek in the morning: you may prefer make your way to Llama Karma Kafe just a short 15 minute drive away in Penrith, where breakfast is served till 11am.
Our WOODLAND CARAVAN is a delightful twist on a modern 22ft touring caravan as, disguised as a woodland lodge, it blends into the ancient woodland backdrop.
This bright, clean, modern caravan sleeps up to four people, has a separate double bedroom and toilet and has full central heating and a fire, oven, sink, microwave and fridge.
Its external decked area provides a sun trap seating/sunbathing deck and an opportunity to eat breakfast alfresco if you choose. A perfect spot for watching the sun go down with a glass of wine.
It also has a fire pit for log burning to extend your perfect outdoor evening.
Alongside the walled garden is a small playground area for the children.
For chilly evenings we have a fabulous reindeer themed Arctic cabin where we can light a fire for you to cozy up for a spot of storytelling, chats or just daydreaming by the firelight.
Twinkling lights in the trees, Peacocks strutting their stuff, ducks on the pond and the evening calls of the owls in the woods add to the magic making it a time out back to nature adventure you will remember always.
All the caravans have a bedroom window looking onto a natural amphitheatre of woodland making it ideal for a private wildlife viewing hide. Foxes, Owls, Badgers and all manner of woodland animals are able to be observed most evenings.
Please note… 2 minutes walk away there is a lovely new private indoor pool that we can book privately by the hour to yourself at £20 per hour by arrangement in advance. This has shower facilities, jaccuzi and a sauna.

My husband and I joined our friends last minute to stay here and we are so glad we did. The place is amazing! We stayed in the Rosalee & it was so cosy & comfy, it was so busy with ornaments & nick knacks which I found great, the place was spotless too. The setting was amazing, whimsical & tranquil. Peacocks & their babies strolled freely around the grounds as well as ducks, hens, cats & chickens. We are already planning our trip back & recommended it to many of our friends. The owners of this great place were so accommodating, friendly & caring which made our stay even more pleasant. If all this isn't enough on top of this there is a arctic hut, inside it is reindeer themed, benches covered in blankets & cushions skirt the outside of an indoor fire with enough equipment in a basket to cook on. Firewood is provided & there is no chance of running out. The owners really have thought of everything and it is amazing! If indoor fires aren't your thing there's outside ones set up. I can't wait to go back, upon entering there are llamas in a field who were so friendly & curious to see you I just cannot stop raving about this place.

Spent a fabulous weekend in Bluebird and loved every minute. The warmest of welcomes from the family and the animals, particularly puppy Jack and the Peacocks. The owners have literally thought of everything and the setting is amazing with a lovely local gastro pub and award winning bakery only a few minutes walk away. We will definitely becreturning again and again and wish gypsophillia glamping every success with their new venture :)
