Llama trekking is undertaken
at walk using routes with
planned resting places.
The routes have been
researched to reduce any risk
for example from vehicular
traffic by the use of
bridleways, kind permission of
private land owners, public
rights of way and quiet country
lanes.
A health and safety briefing is
given prior to commencing on a
trek and full risk assessments
have been conducted for the
activity. Treks are diligently
supervised. Qualified Trek
Leaders ensure that the treks
stays together. Satellite
Navigation is carried where
appropriate and walkie talkies
ensure the lead and rear are in
communication at all times.
A mobile telephone containing
emergency numbers for Medical,
Veterinary and Rescue Services
is carried by the Trek Leader at
all times. All our trek leaders
are first aid trained and a
first aid kit is always carried,
also, our staff all hold the
food hygiene certificate.
Please ensure that any medical
information that could be
necessary is available for the
trek leader and any regular
medication including asthma
inhalers are with you before you
commence the trek.
*Any allergies including food
allergies should be made known
to the staff in advance.
